First Club Meeting – 20 Feb 2008

We are meeting at 7.30pm in the carpark behind the Karori Recreation Centre accessible from Beauchamp Street, Karori near the Post Office.

Assemble outside the Karori Arts and Crafts Centre. At 7.50pm we will move to our photography location. No matter what the weather will be, we will carpool and travel to either the fine location or wet location. If you don’t have any transport there are always lots of spare seats in cars.

To pack (very important):

A camera with “charged” batteries.
A flash unit or in-camera flash
A tripod (if you have one)
A torch (also called a flashlight)- (if you have one)
A warm jacket (even if its a warm night you WILL NEED A WARM JACKET. This is Wellington.
And any other camera gear you may need.

We will be photographing items in the dark (being at night) so if you don’t have a tripod there will be objects available to position your camera on. Flash units are ideal to light up the objects you will be photographing in the dark, though you can still take pics without a flash. The torch or flashlight is for shining on the object, and setting your focus before shooting. The warm jacket is a must as we never know how cold it will get after dark.

If you have not said you are coming YOU CAN STILL TURN UP ON THE NIGHT. Everyone is welcome.

I will see you THIS Wedneday night at 7.30pm.

My cellphone number is 027 306 0192 if you get lost, arrive after 7.50pm or need more information.

Kind regards
