Club Meeting – 20 April 2011

A very late reminder about the meeting this Wednesday.

It is the second challenge of the year – Frame within a Frame

Each member provides six images. The rest of the group choose the best
three, which are then used for the end of year presentation.

A couple of requests.

* Can people please size images to 1024px on the longest side?
* Can people please name images as follows?

One final thought. Think about how you arrange your images. Are they
sorted randomly? By date taken? Alphabetically? Or can they sorted to
provide some sort of impact. Lighter or Darker images first? Start and
end with a strong image?

Club Meeting – 30 March 2011

Just a reminder about the meeting this Wednesday. It is being held
instead of the normal meeting in the first week of the month because
of the PSNZ Convention that week.

It is the evening where we get to show our Karori Cemetery images.

I suggest that everyone bring along up to 6 images and we will take a
look at them.

And Bruce Girdwood said that he would be popping in with the NZ Camera
annuals for those who are members of the PSNZ and who haven’t received
theirs yet.

Oh and one other thing, in case you didn’t notice, one of our members
and the Karori Camera Club featured in the local community newspaper.
You will have to click the link to find out 🙂

Club Meeting – 16 March 2011

Just a friendly reminder about the meeting on this Wednesday. It is the
first challenge of the year – Shadow

Each member provides six images. The rest of the group choose the best
three, which are then used for the end of year presentation.

Remember, that the idea is to get people out and shooting and to
encourage a bit of creativity. We would rather that you did not trawl
your archives for images. So any photos taken from December 2010 onwards
are available for consideration.

when travelling in New Zealand or overseas as a memory of his travels
and as a way of recording the scenery he has seen.

Fred will talk through the methods he uses and will display some of
his work.

Start time is 7:30 p.m
Karori Arts and Crafts Centre (Newman Centre),
7 Beauchamp Street, Karori

Club Meeting – 16 February 2011

A reminder about the meeting this week. The topic is “6 Pictures from
the last year. Bring along 6 of your images, taken during the last year,
that are photographically important to you.

Pictures can be digital or print. We will show each member’s images and
then discuss. Similar to the way we do the challenges, only no voting.

A number of people have asked when we are going to show the cemetery
photos. We have a gap in the calendar on the 30th March. So unless
anyone has objections, we will use that date.
