Club Outing – 13 February 2013

Welcome back to the Karori Camera Club for 2013!

To kick off the year we have an exciting and adventurous
Photographic Scavenger Hunt so that you can dust off
your cameras and test your creative prowess.

What: Scavenger Hunt
When: 13 February 2013, 19:30
Where: Meet under the Fernball in Civic Square

Starting in Civic Square, where you will be given a list, you should
find the items on the circuit of Victoria, Hunter Streets, top of
Lambton Quay, Willis, Mercer, Wakefield, Cuba, and Manners Streets.

The hunt is designed to be achievable even if it rains – i.e. stay
under shop verandas.

The idea is to photograph each item in a creative way.

Probably not a good idea too cheat by following each other – you will
be found out :-). And items don’t have to be found in the order given.

Virtual points/chocolate fish will be given for:
– most items photographed
– most creative photos
– most interesting photos

At around 9:00pm we will be meeting for tea/coffee at Finc on Wakefield
street opposite the Town Hall.

And as always, the take at the calendar to see what is happening

Club Meeting – 12 December 2012

Well it is hard to believe that 2012 is now almost over. This week is
the final KCC meeting of the year.

We will be taking a look back at what we have done over the past year
and planning ahead for next year.

As originally planned Bruce Pool is running the Creative Photography
Special Interest Group as part of Wellington Photographic Society. This
is completely separate from KCC.

However, wearing his KCC hat, Bruce is also going to take a more hands
on role in the KCC as well. And do we have some good plans/ideas to
discuss on Wednesday night!!

We will probably have a drink and a nibble or two. If you could bring a
small plate of something, that would be good.

When: 7:30pm, Wed 12th December 2012
Where: Karori Arts and Crafts Centre

Club Meeting – 28 November 2012

Well it is the second to last meeting of the year.

There are a few things to discuss.

  • The first is the calendar for next year and what format it will take.
  • The second is to discuss possible shared activies with Hutt Camera Club
  • The third is the final challenge for the year.

The topic for the final challenge is

Friendship

To recap, each member provides six images. The rest of the group
choose the best three from those six. These three are then used for
the end of year presentation which takes place at the final meeting
in December.

A couple of requests.
