Small but Meaningful
Okay, it is precipitating out there. So Plan B it is.
Meet at the Arts and Crafts Centre and we will have a hands on/
show and tell session related to off simplish camera lighting i.e.
flashlites, small LEDs etc.
Bring your cameras, flashlights if you have them. I will have
some gear along that we should be able to use.

Syd, a long time member of the Karori Camera Club, is having a
another photographic exhibition at the Farsite Gallery.

This is the second round of selection for entries in the
Wellington Interclub Print Competition.
There is a slight change of plans. Tonight, it is again selection
of digital images.
Then on the 16th we will have a final round selecting the
prints that will be used.
Well it is that time of the year for the Wellington Interclub Print
Competition.

As a club we have to choose one image for each category.
To get there we are are having two selection rounds:
Wednesday 25th July – Initial selection of 3 images per category
Wednesday 8th August – Final selection
This initial selection will be via digital or print (digital preferred)
You can each submit up to 3 images per category. We are only going to
select 3 in each categroy for the Final Selection. And for the Final
Selection on the 8th, hese 3 need to be printed up, but not necessarily
matted. For the Competition itself, the prints need to be matted.
Can you please size to 1024px on the longest side and name them as
follows (this will help enormously when loading to the laptop):

Images can be from archive. The only thing is that they should not have
been shown at a previous interclub.
For the initial selection on 25 July we we will select the top 3 entries
for each category by popular vote.
For the final selection on 8 August, we will try and use an external
judge/selector.
For this final selection, images should be printed, but not necessarily
matted.
Whew, the year is flying past. The time for the fourth challenge has
arrived and it is for our meeting on the 11th July.
The topic is Abstract.
To recap, each member provides six images. The rest of the group choose
the best three from those six. These three are then used for the end of
year presentation.
