Well another year is upon us. I apologise for the slow start,
but it has been a lazy Summer…
For the first meeting, as in previous years, we will do an outing. This
year it is in the opposite direction to what we normally do i.e. we are
going to do Makara Beach.
By my calculations, Sunset should be about 20:30. So we should be able to
get a bit of light.
Suggest that we meet at Rec Centre at 18:00 so that we can Car Pool.
If you prefer to meet at the Beach, that is fine. We should be there
around 18:30
After taking some photos for a while, hopefully we can gather to have a
coffee/drink and socialise. Unfortunately, the Café closes at 17:00 so we
won’t be able to use that. So suggest that people bring along a flask
with their favourite liquid refreshment.

Administrivia
The start of a New Year means that it is time to renew membership.
To recap, we need to subscribe to the Karori Arts and Crafts Centre. That
is $30. There was a form and instructions in the January Newsletter that
Margaret sent out.
And then we have a $5 fee to cover the sundry items such as gifts to
speakers.

Over the break I got into a discussion about what is a photograph?
The question was more about if something looks like a photograph, is it a
photograph? And can something that that looks like something created by Picasso,
be a photograph?
We can explore these. But here a are a few practical links related to
