Club Meeting – 30 April 2014

Had a bit of a think and as next week is convention week and in the middle of Easter and ANZAC weekends, thought it would be prudent to move meeting to Wednesday 30th April

For that night, we are having the first of our four challenges this year. The topic is Blurred.

Each member provides six images. The rest of the group choose the best three, which are then used for a presentation at the end of the year.

Remember the idea is to get you out shooting. We would rather that you did not trawl your archives for images. So any photos taken from December 2013 onwards are available for consideration.

Can people please size images to 1280px on the longest side?

Can people please name images as follows?

Finally, here is a link to Tony Bridge’s website. Tony is well known in NZ photographic circles and is a regular contributor to F11 magazine. Some fine photography and some very interesting and sometimes quite opiniated writing. One thing for certain, you won’t say ‘meh’ about either his photographs or his writing

Club Meeting – 9 April 2014

Presenter — Cliff Threadgold

Yet again we are fortunate in having Cliff present to us. The talk is
going to be something that is close to his heart. And as it is going
to be print only and I know the quality of Cliff’s printing, we are
in for something special.

Another fine site, content-wise, is the Luminous Landscape. Recently
they featured an article by Jackie Ranken who is based in Queenstown
and is very well known in New Zealand and Australian photographic circles.
