Club Meeting – 25 September 2013

Next Meeting

Well, Heuchan, freshly returned from the depths of Africa, has been cajoled into showing some of the images that he took. Knowing his eye and steady hand for a good photograph, I am sure that we will be in for a treat.

World Wide Photo Walk

On another tack, it is that time of the year when the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalks take place. This year there is another one being hosted in Wellington.

When: Saturday, 5 October 2013
Time: 13:45 to 17:00
Where: Start at top of cable car in Kelburn and after the walk will meet
at Mac’s Brewery on Taranaki Street.
Info: http://worldwidephotowalk.com/walk/wellington-wellington-new-zealand/

As of the time of this email, there are still 16 places available. So be in quick.

Mini Exhibition

The mini exhibition showing the prints we entered in the Wellington Interclub Print Competition. has been set up. There is an image attached showing the layout. Thanks to Margaret for organising this.

If you did not get a chance to take part in the selection, you should pop into the Arts and crafts centre to take a look. And at the same time you can see the “Wolf” Photo and the trophy.

Hutt Battle

The annual Hutt Battle is in November. Each club shows 10 images in each of the four categories.

This year they are Form, Function, Feeling, Free.

So start shooting now. We will be doing selection in October.

No Club Meeting – 11 Sep 2013

Hi All

This Wednesday, Heuchan is swanning it in the depths of Africa, Bill
will be on his way to the US, Hugh is saving himself for another meeting
on Thursday and I am trying to learn a thing or two.

So unless someone else is keen on doing the meeting this week, we will
be giving this week a miss. Now, if someone is keen, let me know
(021-535-835) and I will arrange to hand over the projector and discuss
getting a key to the Centre.
