Challenges
To get people out and shooting and to encourage a bit of creativity,
we are running a series of challenges.
- Each member provides six images. The rest of the group choose the best
three, which are then used for the end of year presentation. - Topics for the year are
- Lines
- due 3 March
- Portrait/Self Portrait
- due 21 April
- Space
- due 2 June
- Closer
- due 4 July
- Speed
- due 18 Aug
- Light
- due 15 Sep
- Karori
- due 20 Oct
- For the Portrait/Self portrait category, the requirement is that at
least one of the portraits must be a self portrait. - Remember the idea is to get you out shooting. We would rather that
you did not trawl your archives for images. So any photos taken from
December 2009 onwards are available for consideration. - Can people please size images to 1024px on the longest side?
- Can people please name images as follows?
category_firstname_lastname_anything.jpg e.g. portrait_mark_berger_quiet-mary.jpg
- For the final presentation, we use a piece of music for each of the
topics. Any music suggestions matching topic titles are more than
welcome.
